Modern Slavery Statement

Last Updated on July 3, 2023 by Janie Wilson

As part of the online marketing industry, the risks relating to modern slavery are not prominent. Still, Fashion Bustle recognizes that it has a responsibility to take a robust approach to slavery and human trafficking. Fashion Bustle is committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

Organizational Structure and Supply Chains

This statement covers the activities of Fashion Bustle.

Fashion Bustle is a leading web community for trying their best to get a better life. Our web and media strategies are based on people’s behaviors – understanding how audiences think, feel and act – so we reach them contextually during the moments that matter.

Our key suppliers are media owners, research companies and software service providers. Modern forms of slavery are not prevalent in the industries in which these suppliers operate. The organization currently operates in the United States.

Relevant Policies

Our People & Culture director writes policies to reflect the values and ethical standing of the organization across all areas. It is signed off by our entire Management team.

The organization operates the following policies that describe its approach to the identification of modern slavery risks and steps to be taken to prevent slavery and human trafficking in its operations:

Whistleblowing Policy

The organization encourages all its workers, customers and other business partners to report any concerns related to its direct activities or supply chains. This includes any circumstances that may increase the risk of slavery or human trafficking. Employees, customers or others who have concerns can speak to their line manager or our People & Culture team if they have any concerns.

Employee Handbook and Induction

Our Handbook clarifies to employees the actions and behavior expected of them when representing the organization. The organization strives to maintain the highest standards of employee conduct and ethical behavior when operating abroad and managing its supply chain.

New employees are given the handbook when they first join and made aware of how to identify signs of modern slavery and the next steps to take if they suspect it is taking place within our business or supply chain.

Recruitment / Agency Workers Policy

The organization uses only specified, reputable employment agencies to source labor and always verifies the practices of any new agency it is using before accepting workers from that agency.

Due Diligence

The organization undertakes due diligence when considering new suppliers and regularly reviews existing ones.

Chief Executive Officer Approval

This statement was approved by the organization’s Chief Executive Officer, who reviews and updates it annually.
